Are your coffees fair trade certified?

We are not part of the fair trade foundation but we responsibly source our coffee. Read on to the next question to find out more about our ethical coffee sourcing.

Is your coffee ethically sourced?

We obviously believe it is very important to ethically source high quality products, scrutinise and check any suppliers whether that's direct farms, co-ops or importers.

We do a lot of research before choosing any products to make sure the product is of a high quality and the companies are holding high social responsibility standards.

A lot of our coffees are imported for us by an industry specialist in high quality coffees. They have been importing high quality coffee for nearly 50 years and were actually the first independent coffee importer in the sector to actively fight for a Fairtrade licence.

We think they are a trustworthy company and they strive for a happy and sustainable coffee industry! We know they take the correct steps to ensure social responsibility and ethics are upheld in the supply chain.

For example three of our coffees are from Daterra Brazil, they have a great ethos and we are proud to be roasting Daterra beans! Find out more about Daterra beans.

Are all of your coffees single origin?

The majority of our coffees are single origin and responsibly sourced from Colombia, Myanmar, Nicaragua, Mexico, Rwanda, Kenya, Guatemala, Brazil, Ethiopia, Costa Rica, Papua New Guinea, Jamaica, Cuba, India, and Sumatra. We do have some expertly created blends that make great espresso like Purva Vida and Supreme Crema.

Yes, we have a decaf Costa Rica coffee. This is decaffeinated with the Swiss Water Process. A taste driven decaf option and 100% chemical free.

Do you sell flavoured coffees?

No. All our coffees are 100% pure coffee, so you won't find any nasty artifical flavours added meaning you can enjoy the natural notes of each of our coffees.

Of course, that doesn't mean you can't flavour our coffee with syrups or whatnot if that's what floats your boat, but we think pure coffee is best.

Do you provide tasting notes for each of your coffees?

Our coffee pouches contain the origin, coffee process, the altitude the coffee was grown and notes you can taste in the coffee. More information for each coffee can be found on the product pages.

When you're brewing a pour over method you will let your coffee bloom. This allows gas to escape and water to be fully absorbed to bring out all the flavours and notes in the coffee.
